Asima M. Azam

Asima Azam has provided comprehensive legal assistance to condominiums, homeowners associations and planned communities in Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville for over 19 years. 

 Ms. Azam provides counsel to her clients on a full range of matters including interpreting governing documents and applicable law, enforcing covenants and rules, collecting delinquent assessments, reviewing and drafting contracts and leases, drafting rules and regulations and amending governing documents. Her understanding of the unique needs of each community association she represents enables her to effectively and promptly solve problems and provide preventative counseling to her clients. 

Ms. Azam also provides assistance to developers in the formation and set up of new condominiums and planned communities, drafting covenants and restrictions and preparing filings for the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. 

Additionally, Ms. Azam has extensive experience in providing assistance to developer clients before city and county planning and zoning boards, the board of zoning adjustment and code enforcement. Her extensive experience includes handling code enforcement appeals and requests for fine reductions, pursuit of a variance or special exception, and collaboratively with planning and zoning board to implement conditions and restrictions in pre-construction plans and developer agreements to shape development projects to reduce the impact on adjacent land owners.  

Ms. Azam frequently provides seminars to various community management organizations on topics including assessment collection, covenant enforcement and legislation affecting community associations and has been approved by the Division of Business and Professional Regulation as a Condominium Education Provider, providing certification seminars to board members on a semi annual basis.
